1 year agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Jose Siri (finger) is out of the starting lineup on Friday with the team taking on the Los Angeles Angels. Even with Tampa having an off day on Thursday, Siri will take an extra day to rest after suffering a minor left-pinkie sprain during a slide into second base on Wednesday against the San Francisco Giants. Check back to see if he's good to go on Saturday. Luke Raley is starting in center field and batting fifth against Angels left-hander Tyler Anderson. Siri has been useful for his power (career-high 23 home runs), but he's hitting just .219 (61-for-278) with a .259 on-base percentage in 82 games in 2023. Raley has a nice power/speed profile, but he's gone just 6-for-29 with two of his 17 long balls against lefties this year.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
