Matt Chapman Returns From Finger Injury
1 year agoToronto Blue Jays third baseman Matt Chapman (finger) is back at third base and is batting fifth in the order on Friday against the Cincinnati Reds and right-hander Brett Kennedy. Chapman missed several games this week due to inflammation in his right middle finger, but he's feeling better and will be back in the lineup on Friday night. He'll try to get going in the month of August, as he's only gone 10-for-44 (.227) with one homer, two doubles, five RBI, 15 strikeouts and three runs scored in 12 games (11 starts) since Aug. 1. The 30-year-old remains attractive in deep-mixed leagues in a potent Toronto lineup, though, and he has 15 home runs, a league-high 35 doubles and 49 RBI in 116 games played.
