Courtland Sutton Targeted Five Times Friday Night
1 year agoDenver Broncos wide receiver Courtland Sutton drew a team-high five targets in the team's preseason opener on Friday night against the Arizona Cardinals. He caught three of his targets for 35 yards in an eventual 18-17 loss. The Broncos offense stalled out rather quickly on their first three drives, but they eventually came through on the fourth and final drive, which ended in a 21-yard touchdown strike over the middle to Jerry Jeudy. Sutton had gains of 13 and 19 yards on two of his three catches, averaging 11.7 yards per catch in the first preseason game. If he's targeted this frequently when the real games start in September, the 27-year-old could bounce back in Sean Payton's offense after he wasn't even playable in fantasy lineups to close out last year. Target Sutton as a WR4/flex in fantasy drafts if you have faith in Payton fixing Russell Wilson and this offense.
