Luke Schoonmaker Getting More Work In Camp
1 year agoDallas Cowboys rookie tight end Luke Schoonmaker (foot) will get more work in training camp practice on Thursday. Schoonmaker missed the start of camp with a partial tear of his plantar fasciia, but he was activated from the Non-Football Injury list earlier this week and continues to progress to more work in practices. Don't expect the 24-year-old to play in Dallas' first preseason game, but barring a setback, he should be ready for the start of the regular season. The tight end spot is wide open for the Cowboys in 2023 now that Dalton Schultz is gone, giving Schoonmaker an opportunity to make a big impact in his rookie season. However, fantasy managers should temper expectations, as Jake Ferguson seems locked into the top pass-catching role in this offense for now.
