Zach Wilson To Start Second Preseason Game
1 year agoNew York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson will make the start for the team's second preseason game this Saturday against the Carolina Panthers, according to head coach Robert Saleh. This should come as no surprise, as Aaron Rodgers isn't going to play until the final preseason contest. The 24-year-old Wilson went 3-for-5 for 65 yards in the Hall of Fame game against the Cleveland Browns last Thursday night. The former second overall pick in 2021 has been a bust as a starter for the Jets in his two seasons, going 345-for-625 (55.2%) for 4,022 yards, 15 touchdowns and eight interceptions in 22 starts. The Jets can only hope that Wilson will make be better off down the road after learning from Rodgers.
