Joe Burrow Injury Update
Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow (calf) was at practice for the first time since suffering a calf strain a few weeks ago. However, he didn't participate in the joint session with the Green Bay Packers on Wednesday. Instead, he watched from the sidelines.
While the signal-caller could have at least attended camp after going down, he has stayed out of the public eye to focus on his ailing calf. But unfortunately, Burrow's status moving forward remains in the air, and there's a chance he won't play in the season opener against the Cleveland Browns. Yet, considering there's still time before Week 1, the 2020 No. 1 overall pick should be out there, barring a setback.
Josh Allen Injury Update
Buffalo Bills quarterback Josh Allen left practice early on Monday before returning to action later in the day. Offensive coordinator Ken Dorsey said Allen left practice to get "stretched out," and he's good to go moving forward.
Allen dealt with elbow injuries last season and any setbacks would be of great concern for Bills Mafia and fantasy managers, but there seems to be nothing to worry about with the status of the 27-year-old gun-slinger for now. Allen is expected to be a top-three fantasy quarterback once again in 2023. Anything short of that would be a disappointment.
Kyler Murray Injury Update
Arizona Cardinals quarterback Kyler Murray (knee) said there is currently no timetable for his return from a torn ACL in mid-December of last season. The 25-year-old signal-caller is taking rehab one day at a time. "Obviously, me being the competitor I am, do I want to miss any time? No," Murray said. "It's not on my mind, but we're not even in August yet. So, I'm taking it one day at a time." That said, it's unclear how much of the 2023 season Murray will miss.
Cardinals pass-catchers Marquise Brown, Rondale Moore, Trey McBride, Zach Ertz (knee), and others will likely struggle whether Colt McCoy, Clayton Tune, or David Blough is under center to begin the 2023 campaign. For now, fantasy managers should be cautious about drafting Murray, but he could have late-season value if his rushing upside isn't limited by his damaged knee. (ESPN)
