1 year agoColorado Rockies second baseman Brendan Rodgers (hamstring) remains out of the starting lineup on Wednesday against the Milwaukee Brewers. Harold Castro will take over the duties at second base and will hit sixth in the lineup against Brewers right-hander Adrian Houser. Rodgers will sit out for the second straight game due to a tight right hamstring, and he should be considered day-to-day. The oft-injured 27-year-old infielder has missed most of the 2023 season while recovering from shoulder surgery, limiting him to just six games. In those six contests, he's gone 5-for-24 (.208) with two RBI, seven strikeouts and no runs. Rodgers is running out of chances in the big leagues.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
