1 year agoCincinnati Reds second baseman Jonathan India (foot) has resumed baseball activities this week and is expected to return from the injured list early next week, according to manager David Bell. India is dealing with mild plantar fasciitis in his left heel, and he's lining up to miss the minimum time on the 10-day injured list. Rookie Matt McLain has shifted over to second base and should continue playing there for the Reds until India returns next week. India is the Reds' starting second baseman when healthy, and he's having a nice bounce-back year in 2023 by hitting .251 (99-for-394) with 14 home runs, 20 doubles, 52 RBI, 12 stolen bases and 68 runs scored in 103 games. There's no reason why he should be available on the waiver wire due to his injury.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
