Malik Hooker Signs Three-Year Extension
1 year agoThe Dallas Cowboys and safety Malik Hooker agreed to a three-year contract extension on Friday worth up to $24 million that includes an $8 million signing bonus paid in the next 15 days and $16.5 million guaranteed, according to his agent, David Mulugheta. The deal ties Hooker to the Cowboys through the 2026 season. The 27-year-old former first-rounder in 2017 by the Indianapolis Colts out of Ohio State gets the extension after recording a career-high 62 tackles (44 solo) in his second year with Dallas in 2022. He also had a career-high-tying three interceptions and a fumble recovery returned for a touchdown in 16 regular season games (six starts). Hooker will remain a starter for the Cowboys moving forward.
