Cole Beasley Could Win Starting Slot Role
1 year agoNew York Giants wide receiver Cole Beasley worked as the No. 1 slot receiver during Thursday's practice. The 34-year-old has reportedly looked good in practice and has a chance to quickly climb the depth chart. It's worth noting that Parris Campbell (knee) is normally the starting slot receiver, but was sidelined on Thursday. Also, Sterling Shepard and Wan'Dale Robinson are still working their way back from injury. Despite that, Beasley has impressed the team and could work his way into a legitimate role with the Giants. It's still too early in camp to know anything, but it sounds like Beasley is going to be involved in the offense.
