Luke Raley Injures Knee Wednesday
1 year agoTampa Bay Rays outfielder Luke Raley (knee) left Wednesday night's loss against the New York Yankees early with a right-knee contusion. Before leaving the contest early, Raley went 0-for-2 with a strikeout to drop his season average to .266 with an .884 OPS. The 28-year-old left-handed hitter fouled a ball off his right knee in the fourth inning. It didn't look like too serious of an injury, and with a scheduled day off for the team on Thursday, hopefully he'll be able to return on Friday for a series opener against the Detroit Tigers on the road. Fantasy managers will want to check back to see if he's in the starting lineup on Friday. Raley has been useful in most fantasy leagues in his third big-league season, as he entered Wednesday's action slashing .268/.357/.533 with an .890 OPS, 15 home runs, 40 RBI, 12 stolen bases and 46 runs scored in 85 games.
