Nolan Jones Returns For Rockies
1 year agoColorado Rockies outfielder Nolan Jones is back in the starting lineup on Tuesday against San Diego Padres right-hander Pedro Avila after leaving Monday's game early with mild cramping. Jones is starting in right field and is hitting sixth in the batting order. In his first full big-league season, the 25-year-old left-handed hitter is batting an impressive .273/.351/.485 with an .836 OPS, nine home runs, eight doubles, 22 RBI, seven stolen bases and 22 runs scored in 185 plate appearances and 50 games played. Jones will have a nice matchup against Avila at hitter-friendly Coors Field on Tuesday, although he hit just .193 (11-for-57) with four home runs, eight RBI, two stolen bases and six runs scored in 18 games in the month of July.
