1 year agoSan Diego Padres right-hander Michael Wacha (shoulder) is scheduled to face hitters on Monday in a simulated game, but his next step remains unclear. He missed a start in late June with right-shoulder inflammation and landed on the injured list after making one more start on July 1. The Padres continue to be cautious with Wacha, who threw his first bullpen session on July 25 and another one on July 28 in which he used all his pitches. The 32-year-old has been excellent for the Friars and fantasy managers in 2023, posting a 2.84 ERA over his 15 starts, although regression could be coming to close out the year while coming off his shoulder injury.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
