Jets In No Rush To Sign Dalvin Cook
1 year agoFree-agent running back Dalvin Cook left without a contract after visiting the New York Jets on Sunday. Head coach Robert Saleh called it a "good" visit, but the team isn't "pushing" or "pressing" the issue. There remains no timetable for Cook to sign with the Jets or another team. While the Jets seem like the favorite to sign him, his desire to play for the Miami Dolphins is also well known. Cook would be a welcome addition for New York, but he'd be more of a luxury addition, not a necessity. The Jets are expecting Breece Hall (knee) to be ready for the start of the regular season, and they also have Michael Carter and impressive rookie Israel Abanikanda in the fold. A Cook signing in New York would effectively kill any fantasy value for Carter while also putting a huge damper on Hall's ceiling in his second NFL campaign.
