Nick Castellanos Resting Monday
1 year agoPhiladelphia Phillies outfielder Nick Castellanos is getting a rest day on Monday against the Miami Marlins. In his absence, Brandon Marsh is starting in right field and is batting seventh against Marlins right-hander Edward Cabrera. Johan Rojas is starting in center field and hitting in the nine-hole. It's a regular day of rest for Castellanos, who is hitting a strong .273/.316/.444 with 14 home runs, 60 RBI, six stolen bases and 52 runs scored in 410 at-bats this year for the Phillies. Marsh will look to stay hot offensively to close out the month of July after going 19-for-64 (.297) with no homers, five doubles, two triples, eight RBI, two stolen bases and six runs scored in 21 games so far in the month. He hasn't gone deep since a two-homer performance back on June 27.
