Jarred Kelenic Unlikely To Return Until Early September
1 year agoSeattle Mariners outfielder Jarred Kelenic (foot) is expected to be in a walking boot for four to six weeks and is unlikely to return from the 10-day injured list until early September, according to president of baseball operations Jerry Dipoto. Kelenic will miss most of the remainder of the regular season after going on the injured list on July 20 with a fractured left foot that he suffered when he kicked a water cooler in the dugout. The 24-year-old won't have much time to contribute to fantasy lineups in September once he's fully healthy, so he's not a must-stash in shallow redraft leagues. Kelenic had slowed down a bit at the plate after a strong first half, and he's currently hitting .252/.320/.439 with 11 home runs, 45 RBI, 12 stolen bases and 43 runs scored in 326 at-bats.
