Ryan Preece Impressively Earns First Top-5 of the Season at Richmond
1 year agoLuck hasn't been on Ryan Preece's side this season, but he finally avoided the bad luck this weekend in Richmond and came away with a good finish. Preece had a fast No. 41 Ford all day long on Sunday during the Cook Out 400, and he used that speed to bring home a 5th-place finish for his Stewart-Haas Racing team. This marks Preece's first top-5 finish of the season, and actually his first top-10 finish as well. In the other 21 points-paying races that have concluded this year, Preece has a best finish of 12th-place, which came at Phoenix back in March. It's good when we finally see struggling drivers have a legitimately good run. Coming into this race, Preece had an average finish of 22.4 on the season.
