Nathan Eovaldi's Start On Sunday Pushed Back Due To Elbow Soreness
1 year agoTexas Rangers right-hander Nathan Eovaldi (elbow) won't start Sunday against the Padres due to some soreness in his elbow. According to Rangers manager Bruce Bochy, Eovaldi underwent an MRI, which came back clean. The 33-year-old is not expected to be placed on the injured list. He has yet to pitch since July 18. Eovaldi has been terrific this season, posting a 2.69 ERA, 1.01 WHIP, and 111: 34 K: BB across 123 2/3 innings. It's still being determined when Eovaldi will make his next start. Cody Bradford will replace Eovaldi and start the series finale against the Padres on Sunday.
