Zay Flowers Making Strong Early Impression
1 year agoBaltimore Ravens first-round rookie wide receiver Zay Flowers is already impressing coaches and teammates early in training camp. On the field, he's made an instant connection with quarterback Lamar Jackson. "I'm just nothing but impressed with everything he's done," head coach John Harbaugh said about Flowers. "You get the feel like he's not a rookie; you get the feel like he's a veteran. He just seems really mature." Baltimore has never drafted and developed a receiver that has turned into a Pro Bowl selection, but Flower could buck that trend. The 22-year-old's shiftiness earned him the nickname "the joystick" from Jackson. It's hard to put too much confidence in a rookie receiver from the Ravens in an offense that has traditionally been run-first, but Flowers will have a prominent role in the passing game right away and is worth a late-round flier in deeper fantasy leagues.
