Yandy Diaz Out Wednesday, Going For MRI
1 year agoTampa Bay Rays manager Kevin Cash said that corner infielder Yandy Diaz (groin) left the game on Tuesday against the Miami Marlins with left-groin tightness. He is not in the starting lineup for the series finale on Wednesday and will undergo an MRI exam. "Good sign is that he woke up feeling the same as yesterday, felt no worse. Fingers crossed that he's going to avoid the IL. Generally he recovers pretty quick," Cash said. Hopefully, the All-Star's MRI exam turns up clean and he can return to the lineup on Friday for the series opener against the Houston Astros after an off day on Thursday. With Diaz out on Wednesday, Luke Raley is starting at first base and hitting cleanup against Marlins right-hander Sandy Alcantara. Fantasy managers will want to check back for Diaz's MRI results.
