Starling Marte Placed On 10-Day Injured List
1 year agoThe New York Mets placed outfielder Starling Marte (head) on the 10-day injured list prior to their game against the Chicago White Sox on Thursday due to migraines. Marte was out of the lineup for the third straight game on Thursday, but he was shagging fly balls during batting practice and was said to be feeling better. He won't be eligible to return to the Mets until next Thursday, but hopefully he'll be feeling better by then. Until he returns, Mark Canha should continue to see most of the playing time in right field. Marte has played in only eight games in July, going 8-for-30 (.267) with a home run, four RBI, three stolen bases and three runs scored. The 34-year-old Dominican has mostly been helpful in fantasy with his 24 stolen bases in 2023.
