X-Rays Negative On Jon Gray
1 year agoUpdating a previous report, X-rays on Texas Rangers right-hander Jon Gray (shin) came back negative on Wednesday after he was forced to leave the game early against the Tampa Bay Rays after he was hit by a comebacker on his left leg. He's been diagnosed with a bruised left shin. The 31-year-old starter should be able to make his next turn in Texas' rotation, but fantasy managers will want to keep a closer eye on him until then. Before leaving Wednesday, Gray tossed 4 1/3 shutout frames while allowing eight hits, walking one and striking out four. He's been useful in the majority of fantasy formats this year, but he could see some regression in the second half.
