Christopher Bell Has Nightmare Race At New Hampshire
1 year agoChristopher Bell went into the Crayon 301 at New Hampshire Motor Speedway as the co-favorite to win the race along with teammate Martin Truex, Jr., but Bell's day definitely didn't go as planned. Despite starting from the pole position, Bell led just one single lap during the 301-lap event, and ended up finishing a very disappointing 29th place after wrecking with 14 laps to go. After the race, Bell stated, "Just got loose over the bumps and spun it." That late wreck wasn't the only thing that went wrong for this No. 20 team, though. The team had a loose wheel in the first Stage, and the No. 20 pit crew had consistently slow stops throughout the entire race, losing valuable track position most times. Still, Bell remained optimistic, stating, "It feels good to have good car potential. We've had good car potential the last couple weeks, so hopefully we keep that going."
