Ryan Noda On The Bench Sunday
1 year agoOakland Athletics first baseman Ryan Noda is out of the lineup for Sunday's matchup with right-hander Joe Ryan and the Minnesota Twins. The 27-year-old rookie has been an on-base machine, sporting a .375 OBP, but is batting just .225 with 10 homers, 42 runs, 37 RBI, and two steals across 87 games. Jordan Diaz will take his spot in the lineup, batting sixth as the designated hitter. The 22-year-old second baseman has played in 33 games this season, slashing .235/.265/.398 with five long balls and no steals. However, Diaz owns a .761 OPS off of right-handers, so with Ryan on the bump, he's a decent streaming option in deeper formats.
