Cedric Mullins Not Playing Sunday
1 year agoBaltimore Orioles outfielder Cedric Mullins (quadriceps) is not in the team's starting lineup on Sunday against the Miami Marlins. Mullins will take a seat for Sunday's matinee game after he left Saturday's contest prematurely due to tightness in his right quadriceps muscle, but manager Brandon Hyde said he avoided something serious and could be out just a few days. For now, fantasy managers should consider the 28-year-old as day-to-day. Check back on Monday to see if he's ready to go for the series opener against the visiting Los Angeles Dodgers. With Mullins out Sunday, rookie Colton Cowser is getting the start in center field and is batting seventh against Marlins left-hander Steven Okert. Mullins is currently hitting .259/.347/.454 with an .801 OPS, nine home runs, 16 doubles, three triples, 47 RBI, 14 stolen bases and 33 runs scored in 69 games in 2023. He's a must-start in fantasy when he's active.
