Andrew Benintendi Healed Up After All-Star Break
1 year agoChicago White Sox outfielder Andrew Benintendi (wrist) is back in the starting lineup on Friday, playing left field and batting leadoff against Atlanta Braves right-hander Charlie Morton to kick off the second half of the season. Benintendi was held out of the first-half finale last Sunday due to a right-wrist injury, but he got the rest he needed during the All-Star break this week and is good to go now. The 29-year-old left-handed hitter is hitting a nice .280 (88-for-314) with a strong .347 on-base percentage, but he only has one home run through 85 games in his first year in the Windy City. Fantasy managers will certainly be hoping that his wrist issues are behind him and he can display more pop in the second half.
