Jake Marisnick Signs Minor-League Deal With Dodgers
1 year agoThe Los Angeles Dodgers signed free-agent outfielder Jake Marisnick to a minor-league deal on Thursday, according to a source. Marisnick declined a minor-league assignment with the Detroit Tigers this week to become a free agent. It will be the veteran outfielder's third MLB team this year after he started the season with the Chicago White Sox. In 42 total games (77 plate appearances), the 32-year-old has hit .225/.263/.408 with two home runs, three doubles, two triples, 10 RBI, two stolen bases and 10 runs scored in a part-time role. At best, Marisnick will be a platoon option with James Outman in center field, so his fantasy ceiling is as outfield depth in NL-only leagues.
