Corbin Burnes Told He Won't Be Traded
1 year agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Corbin Burnes said Tuesday that he was told directly by general manager Matt Arnold that he will not be traded this season, per Cincinnati Enquirer's Gordon Wittenmyer. The 28-year-old was rumored to be a potential trade piece for the Brewers since the spring, but they are currently just one game out of first place in the National League Central. Burnes has not delivered what fantasy managers were expecting to this point, going 7-5 with a 3.94 ERA, 1.14 WHIP, and 23.1% strikeout rate. Hopefully, he can turn things around in the second half and show why he was drafted as a top pitcher.
