Colts Say Jonathan Taylor Is "Healed Up"
1 year agoIndianapolis Colts owner Jim Irsay said on the Pat McAfee Show that running back Jonathan Taylor (ankle), who had surgery on his ankle in the offseason, is "healed up" with training camp set to start later this month. Taylor is expected to be ready for training camp and Week 1 in the final year of his rookie deal. The 24-year-old could be limited to start at the end of July after playing in only 11 games due to a high-ankle sprain in 2022. It was a very disappointing season for the top fantasy pick in most leagues last fall, as he finished with 861 rushing yards and four TDs on 192 carries after going over 1,000 yards rushing in each of his first two NFL seasons. If healthy, Taylor should bounce back as an RB1 in fantasy, but he isn't going to be in consideration for the first player off the board in 2023 coming off his injury.
