Rams Tried To Trade Matthew Stafford
1 year agoThe Los Angeles Rams "tried to trade" quarterback Matthew Stafford this offseason, according to Michael Lombardi on the Pat McAfee Show. "Before his option bonus was kicking in the Rams attempted with a lot of effort to move Matthew Stafford. Any team could've had him," Lombardi said. While the Rams may have attempted to trade the 35-year-old signal-caller, it didn't come to fruition and Stafford will open the year as LA's starter under center. The 2022 season was a disaster for the entire Rams offense, and Stafford missed the final seven games due to a spinal-cord contusion. He should bounce back this year with better health, but he's going to need other receivers besides Cooper Kupp to step up, and the Rams offensive line is also sketchy. Consider Stafford a QB2 in fantasy.
