Tigers Throw Combined No-Hitter
1 year agoThe Detroit Tigers have made history versus the Toronto Blue Jays on Saturday. Right-hander Matt Manning did most of the heavy lifting. He went 6 2/3 hitless innings before being relieved at 91 pitches. It was hard to imagine him going the distance with his pitch count already that high. Reliever Jason Foley came on the record the next four outs. After that, right-hander Alex Lange was called upon to hold a two-run lead. Lange only needed 10 pitches to finish off the Blue Jays. Lange picked up his 13th save in the process and helped the Tigers accomplish history with a combined no-hitter.
