Christian Yelich Extends Hitting Streak To Six Games
1 year agoMilwaukee Brewers outfielder Christian Yelich extended his hitting streak to six games in the team's 6-5 win over the visiting Chicago Cubs on Thursday by going 1-for-3 with a home run, three RBI, two runs scored, a stolen base and a walk. Yelich has been filling up the box score on a daily basis during his current hitting streak, going 11-for-25 (.440) with two long balls, a double, triple, nine RBI, three stolen bases and 11 runs scored in just 29 plate appearances. The strong stretch has raised his season line to .287/.381/.459 in 314 at-bats. The 31-year-old left-handed hitter has added 11 home runs, 17 doubles, three triples, 45 RBI, 21 stolen bases and 65 runs scored in 84 total games in 2023. Yelich is healthy and on fire at the moment.
