Masataka Yoshida Out On Sunday
1 year agoBoston Red Sox outfielder Masataka Yoshida (leg) is not in the starting lineup on Sunday against the Toronto Blue Jays. Yoshida had to be removed from Saturday's game early against Toronto after being hit on the leg by a pitch, but X-rays turned up negative, so fantasy managers should consider him day-to-day for now. After an off day on Monday, hopefully the 29-year-old Japanese outfielder will be able to return for Tuesday's series opener against the Texas Rangers. With Yoshida out Sunday, Rob Refsnyder is starting in left field and batting fifth against Blue Jays right-hander Kevin Gausman. Yoshida has been a must-start in fantasy in his first season in the States, as he's currently hitting .305 (85-for-279) with nine home runs, 17 doubles, two triples, 41 RBI, four steals and 41 runs scored in 73 games.
