D'Angelo Russell Staying With The Lakers
1 year agoFree-agent guard D'Angelo Russell agreed to a two-year, $37 million contract with the Lakers. Russell, who was traded to LA from the Timberwolves ahead of the deadline, averaged 17.4 points, 6.1 assists and shot a career-high 41.4% from deep in 17 games for the Lakers this season. However, he struggled in the postseason, averaging just 13.3 points and sinking 31.0% of his attempts from behind the arc. All things considered, the former Buckeye is still an effective producer offensively. But Russell will need to stay consistent, or else he could lose minutes to Gabe Vincent, who agreed to a three-year, $33 million contract this offseason.
