Brayan Bello Flirts With No-No Thursday
1 year agoBoston Red Sox starting pitcher Brayan Bello took a hard-luck loss on Thursday, where he pitched seven dominant innings of one-run ball. Bello struck out five and allowed just two hits and a walk. He also took a no-hitter into the eighth before Jean Segura broke it up with a leadoff infield single. The 24-year-old has been excellent this season, sporting a 3.08 ERA and 1.19 WHIP with a 67:22 K:BB ratio. While he has some control issues, his ability to put the ball on the ground as well as get strikeouts gives him great potential. He should be rostered in all leagues at this point and is rising rapidly in the starting pitcher ranks.
