Nolan Arenado Leaves With Back Tightness
1 year agoSt. Louis Cardinals third baseman Nolan Arenado (back) left Wednesday's game early against the Houston Astros with lower-back tightness and is day-to-day. The good news is that Arenado went 1-for-3 with his 16th home run of the season, three RBI and a run scored to help his fantasy managers before departing prematurely. He was replaced at the hot corner by Nolan Gorman, who slid over from second base. It's a good bet that Arenado won't be in the starting lineup for the series finale against Houston on Thursday, but hopefully he will be available for the start of a series against the New York Yankees on Friday. The 32-year-old remains one of the best bats in baseball and came into Wednesday's game hitting .272 (80-for-294) with 15 home runs, 51 RBI and 34 runs scored.
