Jordan Addison 2023 Outlook: Potential Top Rookie Fantasy Wideout
1 year agoMinnesota Vikings wide receiver Jordan Addison has a chance to step into the No. 2 wide receiver role for Kirk Cousins immediately, setting him up for early production as a rookie in 2023. Justin Jefferson will continue to be a target hog and one of the game's best wide receivers, but there are plenty of targets to go around in Minnesota. The USC product will compete with K.J. Osborn and tight end T.J. Hockenson to Cousins' second option on passing downs. Adam Thielen leaves 107 targets behind from last season, meaning somebody will have to step up in that role. The Vikings ranked third in pass rate last season (64.38%) and released Dalvin Cook this offseason, meaning its offense should be one of the most pass-happy teams once again in 2023. Ultimately, this offense can support up to three fantasy-relevant pass-catchers, and given Addison's first-round draft capital, he should be the favorite to earn a ton of Thielen's vacated targets. Addison is being drafted as a high-end WR4, but given his skill set in a great passing offense, he could finish as a top-24 PPR wideout in his rookie campaign.
