Garrett Wilson 2023 NFL Player Outlook: Jets Addition Of Rodgers Propels Fantasy Value
1 year agoNew York Jets wide receiver Garrett Wilson was selected 10th overall in the 2022 NFL Draft, and he stepped up big time in his first NFL season. The rookie hauled in 83 passes for 1,103 yards and four touchdowns and was named the NFL Offensive Rookie of the Year. Wilson's weekly fantasy production was shaky due to the team's quarterback play, as he caught passes from four different quarterbacks in 2022 -- Zach Wilson, Joe Flacco, Mike White, and Chris Streveler. Still, the wideout finished as the WR21 in PPR formats, averaging almost 12.7 fantasy points per game. Wilson enters his second season with a four-time MVP quarterback under center in Aaron Rodgers. The consistency at quarterback will help the 22-year-old take his game to the next level after an impressive rookie campaign. The future Hall of Fame quarterback's arrival significantly boosts Wilson's fantasy value in 2023. He should be the main target in New York's offense this season. If Rodgers also gets back to his MVP-caliber play and develops an early connection with Wilson, the young wideout will finish as a WR1 with an FFPC ADP of 20.
