Jaxon Smith-Njigba As Advertised This Offseason
1 year agoSeattle Seahawks rookie wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba was limited early this offseason by a hamstring injury that sidelined him for most of last year, but otherwise he looked exactly as advertised as the first receiver taken in this year's NFL draft at No. 20 overall. Smith-Njigba is a skilled route-runner who excels at getting open from the slot. He's not know for being a burner, but he showed he has plenty of speed in offseason practices when he got behind fellow first-rounder Devon Witherspoon to haul in a long touchdown. "He's so impressive," quarterback Geno Smith said. "Very smooth route-runner. Natural hands. Also, the game is not too big for him. You can see he's got that self-confidence that you look for."
