Jeimer Candelario Homers For Second Straight Game
1 year agoWashington Nationals third baseman Jeimer Candelario has been a reliable option in the middle of the order all season long. The switch-hitter continued his hot stretch of play versus the San Diego Padres on Sunday. Candelario opened up the scoring with a 427-foot solo home run in the first inning. In the seventh inning, Candelario smacked a two-run double to push the Nationals lead even higher. He finished the game 3-for-5 with three RBI. He's slashing .261/.338/.471 with 10 long balls and 36 RBI this season. The Nationals are thankful to have Candelario in the middle of their order.
