Prosecutor Dismisses Assault Charge On Davante Adams
1 year agoLas Vegas Raiders wide receiver Davante Adams is no longer facing a misdemeanor assault charge. The wideout was charged after he was seen on national television shoving a cameraman during a Monday Night Football meeting with the Chiefs in October 2022. But a prosecutor dismissed the charge on June 5, with the case now considered a closed, confidential matter under Missouri law. A civil case is still pending. That said, it's nearly guaranteed that the NFL will discipline the 30-year-old, but it's unknown exactly what the punishment will be, although a decision might be made public soon. Of course, fantasy managers are hoping for anything other than a suspension, which would ultimately hurt Adams' fantasy value even more heading into the 2023-24 campaign, considering the questions surrounding Jimmy Garoppolo (foot) and his health.
