1 year agoAccording to Doug Smith of The Toronto Star, forward Pascal Siakam wants to remain with the team. In fact, he reportedly made it known he won't re-sign with any club that trades for him in an attempt to lessen his value. However, none of this has been confirmed, and while the 29-year-old hasn't publicly expressed his desire to stay with the Raptors, Smith mentioned a source close to the veteran as having knowledge. Siakam, who averaged a career-high 24.2 points last season, has been a mainstay in Toronto since entering the league in 2016. It's a new era for the franchise, including a new head coach and the possible departure of Fred VanVleet. At any rate, there will certainly be more to this situation in the coming weeks.
