Blazers Unlikely To Trade Damian Lillard Unless He Asks
1 year agoAccording to ESPN's Adrian Wojnarowski, the Trail Blazers are not looking to trade veteran guard Damian Lillard. On the other hand, the club would likely accommodate him if he wants out. Portland reportedly shut down calls surrounding the 32-year-old recently. However, Lillard still hasn't publicly indicated if he wants to remain with the Blazers or attempt to win a championship elsewhere, so this continues to be a topic of discussion. The 2012 No. 6 overall pick has averaged 25.2 points since entering the league, including a career-high 32.2 points last season. He probably will remain in the All-Star conversation for at least a few more years. But Lillard has played just 87 games in the last two seasons, which may force many fantasy managers to look past him in drafts heading into 2023-24.
