Matt Manning Goes Four Innings In Latest Rehab Start
1 year agoDetroit Tigers right-hander Matt Manning (foot) went four innings on Thursday in his latest minor-league rehab start for Triple-A Toledo, and he is scheduled to throw a bullpen session on Saturday. In his four innings (73 pitches), Manning allowed no runs and one hit while striking out six, but he also walked five batters. All three of his rehab starts have come for Toledo, and he's given up just one unearned run on eight hits while walking eight and striking out nine in 8 2/3 innings. The 25-year-old could make his next start in the big leagues for the Tigers next week, but fantasy managers in mixed leagues may want to see him display better command before taking a chance on him as a matchup-based streamer.
