Huascar Brazoban Picks Up Win Over Pirates
1 year agoMiami Marlins relief pitcher Huascar Brazoban picked up his second win of the season in the team's 6-4 win over the visiting Pittsburgh Pirates on Thursday. Brazoban entered the contest with a runner on base and two outs in the eighth inning and retired the only batter he faced in one-third of an inning to pick up the victory. Left-hander A.J. Puk came on in the ninth to secure his 10th save of the season after the Fish put up a five-run rally in the bottom of the eighth inning to take the lead. The 33-year-old Brazoban has had three scoreless outings out of the bullpen since a brief demotion to Triple-A Jacksonville earlier this month. He now has a 3.65 ERA (3.79 FIP), 1.40 WHIP, 18 walks and 40 K's in 37 relief innings in his second MLB season.
