Will Brennan Sitting Out Thursday
1 year agoCleveland Guardians outfielder Will Brennan (shoulder) is not in the starting lineup on Thursday as the team takes on the visiting Oakland Athletics. It shouldn't come as much of a surprise after Brennan was removed from Wednesday's contest early after injuring his left shoulder while making a diving play in the outfield. The 25-year-old is dealing with left-shoulder soreness and should be considered day-to-day. In his first full MLB season, Brennan is currently slashing .267/.299/.396 with four home runs, 12 doubles, 20 RBI, six stolen bases and 19 runs scored in 197 plate appearances and 65 games. Hopefully he'll be able to return on Friday to face the Milwaukee Brewers. Gabriel Arias is starting in right field and batting seventh against A's left-hander JP Sears on Thursday.
