Max Muncy's Hamstring Injury Only A Low-Grade
1 year agoAfter news came out that Los Angeles Dodgers third baseman Max Muncy (hamstring) suffered a Grade 2 strain on his left hamstring, managers Dave Roberts told reporters on Thursday that it's actually a low-grade strain. That's great news for the Dodgers and fantasy managers, as the 32-year-old won't miss as much time as originally thought. The club still doesn't know if Muncy will need a trip to the injured list, which should be determined on Friday. The slugger is only hitting .191 this season but does have 18 long balls, 39 runs, 45 RBI, and one stolen base over 60 games. If an IL stint is required, expect Chris Taylor to see more playing time at third base. The utility man is hitting .209 but is a power-speed threat, as he's gone deep 11 times and has swiped seven bags across 56 contests.
