1 year agoAtlanta Braves left-hander Max Fried (forearm) has resumed throwing off a mound, but he hasn't faced hitters yet. The Braves are being cautious with his rehab, and he won't be back with the team until after the All-Star break in mid-July. Fried will eventually advance to full bullpen sessions, will resume facing hitters and will then need to go out on a minor-league rehab assignment before he joins the Braves' starting rotation for the second half of the season. The 29-year-old southpaw is dealing with a left-forearm strain and has been sidelined since early May. Fantasy managers must remain patient and keep him stashed in all formats. Before the injury, Fried was performing like an ace, going 2-1 with a 2.08 ERA, 1.08 WHIP and 25 strikeouts in 26 innings over five starts.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
