Mike Clevinger Injured Against Dodgers
2 years agoChicago White Sox starting pitcher Mike Clevinger (biceps) left his start against the Los Angeles Dodgers early on Wednesday night with right-biceps soreness. Clevinger will be further evaluated on Thursday. The 32-year-old veteran right-hander left the contest after giving up no runs on three hits while walking two and striking out five in 4 2/3 innings of work to lower his season ERA to 3.88. He looked to be in quite a bit of pain on the mound before leaving, so fantasy managers will want to check back tomorrow to see how serious his injury is and if he'll have to go back on the injured list. Plan for the worst-case scenario. Clevinger has been decent for the White Sox, but he came into Wednesday's game with a weak 18.9% strikeout rate and he has battled injuries so far in 2023.
