Odell Beckham Jr. Injury Update For Fantasy Football
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh Beckham is "going to be a full go," this offseason. However, there will be a ramp-up period for the 30-year-old wide receiver, which makes sense given he'll need time to knock off the rust from a long lay-off and learn a brand new offense.
Beckham hasn't eclipsed 1,000 receiving yards in a season since 2019 and has failed to catch more than six touchdowns since 2016, but Baltimore has high expectations for the former All-Pro in 2023.
Odell Beckham Jr. 2023 Fantasy Football Outlook
All of a sudden, the target competition in Baltimore is fierce. Mark Andrews, one of the NFL's best tight ends -- remains a top option in the passing game, Rashod Bateman is set to come back from a season-ending foot injury, and Zay Flowers was selected by Baltimore in the first round of the 2023 NFL Draft. With Beckham in the mix, there are four primary pass-catchers who will all see targets.
New offensive coordinator Todd Monken is expected to open up the passing offense for Lamar Jackson, so there should be enough volume for at least two Ravens' targets to produce in fantasy football. Beckham has the chance to be one of those top two guys, but he has a wide range of outcomes in 2023. He could return to his high-end form or prove to be way beyond his prime.
Believers in Beckham won't have to pay a hefty price tag to acquire him though. His current ADP sits around the WR50-55 spot, so he may be worth taking a gamble on.
